Child Dedication

God has entrusted you with the wonderful gift of a child. Just as Jesus’ earthly parents “presented him to the Lord” as a baby (Luke 2:22), you’re expressing the desire to do the same. It’s no small matter to raise your child in a way that honors God, and so you’re requesting your Abundant Church family to join with you in this beautiful endeavor of raising your child to have faith in Jesus Christ.

What to know when you choose to dedicate your child to the Lord Jesus:

You, as parent(s) are making a public commitment to teach your child the truth of God’s Word and to live it out as an example to him/her. You are the greatest influences your child will have.

Your church family will respond to your commitment by agreeing to help develop and influence your child as they grow in their faith.

This ceremony does not insure your child’s salvation.

You, your child, and your family will be prayed over and celebrated. What a wonderful, joyful event it will be!
